The assumption is that the Mormon church will provide the sense of purpose and meaning.
It is important to note that there is no call to action in the clip, which means it's designed to do only one thing - trigger an emotional response.
It's fairly clear that they want an anxiety or fear response, exactly the human emotion that kicks in basic bio survival mode, (Gurdjieff, Freud, Jung, Berne, Sagan, Piaget & Wilber) in which you are much more susceptible to influence.
So this clip is a precursor to something else that they want you to be in a less inquisitive state of mind for, and which almost certainly involves anal lube.
