Not a big fan of Rand. Well, it has nothing to do with anarchy or fuck the poor. Why is it when I bring up an idea it always becomes the butt of some chicken little fear? People who want to do good in a society will do so without a babysitting government, dude. When you give freedom a chance, it can work and work well. Government overspend and misappropriate funds, people can spend smarter. That, and I really feel most people are apathetic to help others when they know there are systems already created using their tax dollars for that purpose. It gives them a clear conscience. Reminds me of a Living Color song: Go Away. You get rid of poorly run and poorly conceived bureaucracies, I think people will give more. In 2004, American civilians gave more money to foreign aid than the US Government.

Like I said, I have given plenty to charities, and I give to the ACLU on a regular basis. I care, but I also want to give how and where I want without being forced to do it. I think that's fair. Your idea of welfare is theft, and it's theft done violently. How would you feel if I broke into your home, robbed you, but used all of that money to pay for cancer treatment for dying children. Wouldn't you still call the police and want me arrested? Seriously.

Oh wow, that's far worse. You meant no federal funds as in education anarchy-fuck the poor-caste system learning. Yikes. At least I can rest easy with the knowledge that libertarian politics have never played any meaningful role in any worthwhile modern society to date and never will.

I do like the fact that we can brawl without any bruised egos or hurt feelings. As you know, most people aren't like that.

I hope you didn't forget the lube again.

I am for deregulating schools, as in to completely get federal government out of regulating education in any capacity whether that be public schools, NCLB or vouchers. I'd serious doubt if most Libertarians would be for handing the school systems over to McDonalds (or some other corporate interest), because a lot of Libertarians are anti-corporatists and strongly against corporate fraud.

How awesome would it be for people to teach their kids the way they want? To have Dental cleanings be affordable, as with health care checkups? Hell, in the 60s before strong government regulations and restrictions being put on hospitals, medical care was very affordable, and doctors would work for a lot less. Anyhow, that could turn into a tangent, but, yeah, I just wanted to ensure we were clear about the whole school thing. Not sure we are clear, but I'm trying to communicabsajsjjsate.... I mean, communicate.

Okay, now we can fuck. I'm on top.

blankfist, oops (sheepishly looks at feet)

Many libertarians want to deregulate schools and I wrongly lumped you in with that crowd, so I apologize for my prejudiced assumptions. I'm all for the private sector offering alternatives to those who want them, and if someday we can manage to get our ed system running smoothly and efficiently, I'd be cool with bringing private programs of merit into the system where they might be useful. Can we fuck now?

Darth Vader In The South
Reminds me of my years in the South fighting alongside Luke Cousinfucker and Chewtobacca. My Mullet Falcon had hubcaps and whitewall tires. Sure it didn't look like much, but she had it where it counted. She made the Winston Cup in less than twelve parsecs.

^No. It just gave me pause because of berticus' comment ("i can't be fucked policing the channel when practically everyone here is so determined to abuse it") I just thought it was his channel.

Teacher Rejects the Madness of No Child Left Behind.
No, no, no. No federal funds for any school, private or public. I'm saying it's not fair to think the government knows better how to spend our money than we do, so I don't believe they have the right to forcefully take our money and decide through bad policy the sort of homogenized NCLB education our children should be taught. Or to give vouchers. It's all terrible policy.

I think parents should have the choice how they want their child educated. I'm sick of the Washington bureaucrats regulating and restricting choice in the name of good intentions. I wish teachers could privately teach children out of their homes, or parents could teach them from home, or someone is more than welcome to start a large chain of schools if that's what people want. Some may think that's a bad idea, but here's an analogy. Currently, to get your teeth cleaned you have to visit a Dent Tech at the Dentist's office. The cost per visit is prohibitive to patients without insurance, and the Dentist only looks at your teeth for a couple minutes and sometimes he doesn't look at them at all.

What if Dent Techs could do private teeth cleanings from their homes? Or from making house visits? All they need, really, are a couple dental picks, floss and teeth polish. The visits would be attainable to the poor. But, with regulations and restrictions, such a good private community service becomes prohibitive. Now, imagine that same example for most things we feel we must regulate because people are too irresponsible to do for themselves: education, health, etc. Remove the bureaucrats and you open an industry up to more people willing to help. Dent Techs sure could use the money!

As for the public school board meetings: no thanks. I don't have children in school, so it's not something I'm interested in.

Fucking Macbook! LaLa (French Canadian Tells It Like It Is!)
France could invent a laptop instead of complaining about Apple's, but then again I guess they're still too busy handing Jews over to Nazi Germany. What? Too soon?
